SALUT! | TAKE A TOUR TO SEE OKANAGAN WINERIES CRUSH IT IN FALL
By Anthony Gismondi | 23 Sep 2016
Two wines stand out at Liquidity, a bright fresh inviting style of Viognier and a very respectable, savoury Okanagan Pinot Noir. Liquidity has 30 acres under vine and some of the Pinot Noir blocks are now over 20 years old, and contain a mix of five Dijon clones and three Heritage clones of Pinot Noir. The views, the art collection and outdoor art displays is simply added bonus to all visitors.
MUST BUY: Our pick is the Liquidity Wines Reserve Pinot Noir 2014 ($42). The reserve ups the intensity over the regular Pinot and will reward some cellaring over the next two years.

LIQUIDITY'S WINEMAKER IS PASSIONATE ABOUT PINOT
By John Schreiner | 21 Aug 2016
Liquidity Wines, which opened in 2012, has raised the visitor wine experience among the Okanagan Falls wineries with a wine shop that includes one of the most elegant restaurants in wine country. Now the winery is turning it up another notch by offering private VIP tastings of its recently released reserve wines. If that happens to be out of your budget, the experience at the regular tasting bar is very good, in part because the talent and focus of winemaker Alison Moyes. “Pinot Noir is my baby,” she told me last year. “Pinot Noir is where my heart is.”
THE BEST GETAWAYS FOR FOOD AND WINE LOVERS
By Jess Thomson | August 2016
We began meandering home by car, making our last stop in Okanagan Falls at the uber-modern Liquidity Wines tasting room, where you can browse the rotating art gallery, much of it outdoors, while sipping a 100 percent Dornfelder grape rosé. As we tucked into arctic char ($31) with smoky puttanesca butter at Liquidity Bistro, we marveled at how a single valley—one of which we’d seen less than half—could seem to combine the enological diversity of Washington, California, Europe and Australia in one small spot, without being beholden to the winemaking habits of any one of those places.

MyVanCity | 25 Aug 2016
Liquidity’s new tasting room and bistro has one of the most stunning views in the area. Their aim is to focus on quality rather quantity and they have been very successful in that goal as their chardonnay has won recent recognition with a Chardonnay du Monde Award in France.
Try – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir Estate
IN THE OKANAGAN, BC, CANADA: SUMMERHILL PYRAMID, LIQUIDITY AND PAINTED ROCK
By Jamie Goode | 23 June 2016
Liquidity is a new winery and bistro in the Okanagan Falls area. We met with owner Ian MacDonald and winemaker Alison Moyes to have a look at their range of wines. This is an 8000 case winery with 15 hectares of vines, and first vintage was 2012. Alison has been here since 2015. The wines are all pretty solid, but I was most impressed by the Chardonnay (2014), which is made in a fresh New World style with some spicy oak complementing the clean fruit, and the Pinot Noir (2014), with its lovely floral cherry fruit nose. The Merlot and Bordeaux-style blend Dividend are also pretty good (both from 2014 too).
TOAST OF THE COAST – VIP SPONSOR
The Vancouver Aquarium hosts this annual fundraising gala of wine-tasting and food-sampling event every fall. Guests experience food from some of the top OceanWise restaurants, along with BC wines. All proceeds support the Vancouver Aquarium’s important research, education and direct action programs that benefit ocean conservation. At the 2015 Toast to the Coast, the exclusive VIP pre-reception was hosted by Liquidity Wines & Liquidity Bistro.
VISA INFINITE DINNER
In 2015, Liquidity Wines was involved with two Visa Infinite Wine Country Dining Experiences. The first was linked to the annual BC Pinot Noir Celebration and was hosted at Liquidity. Special guest Steven Spurrier, of Decanter Magazine, along with the 60 guests were treated to a collaborative meal prepared by Liquidity Bistro’s Executive Chef Rob Walker, Chef Vikram Vij of Vij’s, Chef Trevor Bird of Fable, and Chef Daniel Pizarro of Avec Bistro. Our Viognier and Pinot Noir were paired with two of the courses.
GoMedia Canada - Canada’s premier international travel media event – was hosted in Penticton in 2015. Liquidity hosted a grazing-style, farmer’s market-themed food & wine event one evening for the 300+ participants, featuring many of Liquidity Bistro’s local suppliers and the Okanagan Falls Winery Association members.
WHISTLER CORNUCOPIA 2015
Liquidity was involved in a number of events, including a collaborative winemaker’s dinner at Hy’s Steakhouse, featuring the house chef, along with the chefs of Vintage Hospitality and their associated wineries’ wines. We hosted a Chef’s Table Luncheon at a private estate, featuring Chef Rob Walker, and pairing all dishes with Liquidity Wines. We also participated in the Crush Gala Tasting for both trade and consumers. Our 2013 Chardonnay was one of the Top 25 wines at the Whistler Cornucopia international wine competition.
PINOT NOIR FESTIVAL
The third annual BC Pinot Noir Celebration was hosted in August 2015 at the idyllic Linden Gardens in Kaleden, BC. The event saw winery participants jump to 26 and guests close to 300! Influential British writer Steven Spurrier was the special guest speaker. Steven Spurrier is probably best-known for having held in May 1976 a wine tasting that came to be known as The Judgement of Paris where California Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons came out on top over their French counterparts. Today, Spurrier is Consulting Editor of Decanter Magazine and President of the Circle of Wine Writers.
LIQUIDITY’S VIOGNIER IS FEATURED IN THE LATEST ‘WINE BIBLE’ BY KAREN MACNEIL
“Viognier is not easy to make. The wine often gets bogged down in its own full body and heavy perfume. But Liquidity manages to make one of the best in the New World. Fresh, humming with lovely acidity, and nearly kinetic with light wisps of energy, the wine’s floral and peach flavours are tiny lights twinkling one and off. Liquidity, perched on an outcropping over Okanagan Valley, also makes very good pinot noir and has a fantastic restaurant.”
8 SPOTS TO WINE & DINE IN THE OKANAGAN
By Seattle Dredge | 09 Sep 2014
“The view alone is worth the visit to Liquidity, but the food is pretty incredible too. In the heart of Canada’s only desert, what better way to refresh than with a little liquid? Liquidity provides that and more, overlooking the surrounding hills, behind a sparkling pool of water.”
EXPLORING CANADA'S TOP WINE REGIONS
By Tracy Clark | 2 Sep 2014
“Pour a glass of your favourite B.C. wine, sit back and simply watch the sun dip behind the mountains, its warm glow glinting off the lake,” she says. “That’s what makes the Okanagan special.”
TASTING THE OKANAGAN FALLS
By John Schreiner | 18 Sep 2014
“Liquidity Viognier 2013: An exceptionally complex Viognier, this wine was begun by giving skin contact to some of the grapes. Winemaker Matt Holmes then used wild yeast (for the most part). Then he aged the wine four months in older oak barrels. The wine is generous in the mouth, with aromas and flavours of apricot and fresh apple. The bright acidity gives the wine a refreshing lift on the finish.$23.90 ~ 92 points”
ROAD TRIP TO BC'S WINE COUNTRY
By Erin Ireland | 29 Oct 2014
“Look out the dining room window and you might think you’re in Italy the way the rolling hills criss-cross for miles. This restaurant’s design is crisp, clean and modern with art installations speckling the property. The cuisine, touted as classic Canadian with a focus on local ingredients, matches its stunning surroundings. Must tries: Warm Olives, Cioppino, Liquidity Pinot Noir.”
THE OKANAGAN: UPSCALE AND DOWN TO EARTH
By Linda Bates | 22 Sep 2014
“At Liquidity, you might think you’d stumbled into New York or California: Forget the comfortable cottage or Austrian chalet esthetic we’re used to seeing in smaller wineries. Here, a wall of glass looks out over a peerless vineyard view, and works by prominent B.C. artists Martha Sturdy, Brent Comer and Jeff Burgess are highlighted in the gallery and garden.”
BC WINES WORTH STUFFING IN YOUR SUITCASE
By Michaela Morris | 21 Oct 2014
“Our second most-planted red, Pinot Noir, often ends up accompanying me on trips abroad. Cooler sites and a gentle hand are crucial for this finicky grape. In my mind, Quails’ Gate and Blue Mountain are consistent performers while Liquidity is a happy new find.”
A LOAF OF BREAD, A JUG OF WINE AND SO MUCH MORE.
By Joanna Sasvari | 19 Sep 2014
“Twenty years ago, not a single winery in the Okanagan had a restaurant. Now more than a dozen exceptional winery restaurants are dotted throughout the valley, with more opening all the time. This year, the new Liquidity Wines opened with a stunningly beautiful bistro on the Skaha Bench.”
WINERY RESTAURANTS IN THE OKANAGAN
By Roslyne Buchanan | 8 Sep 2014
“Executive Chef Rob Walker matches the modern architecture with an “urban take on classic Canadian wine country cuisine with influences from around the Okanagan Valley and Pacific North West.” Linger over lunch or delight in dinner while feasting on the vista of vineyards, Vaseux Lake and McIntyre Bluff.”
WINERIES AND FARM-TO-FORK RESTAURANTS AIM TO SPOIL TRAVELLERS WITH CHOICE
By Mhairri Woodhall | 5 Sep 2014
“Entering the recently opened bistro feels like stepping into a modern gallery. First the artwork captured my attention, then the view. The contemporary estate winery sits atop a rolling hillside of vineyards, with Vaseux Lake in the horizon. Executive Chef Rob Walker’s culinary presentation captures the essence of the winery, as every dish served was artistic perfection.”
MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE
By Treve Ring | 5 Sep 2014
“Location, location, location. Liquidity Winery is flawlessly nested up in Okanagan Falls, sharing a ‘hood with Blue Mountain, Synchromesh and Meyer Family Wines, among others. Here on this picture-perfect peak between lakes Vaseux and Skaha is some of the finest terroir in the Okanagan Valley”
TOP WINERY RESTAURANT IN OKANAGAN FALLS
By Erin Ireland | 27 Oct 2014
“Gourmet road-trippers, have I got a winery restaurant recommendation for you. Recently, during a Naramata wine tour, my travel partner and I discovered Liquidity Winery Bistro and as we pulled up, our jaws literally dropped. Besides the grand entrance, a perfect wooden sphere made with fallen Stanley Park trees greeted us. And the view was something else altogether. As for the food, Chef Rob Walker’s menu did not disappoint. The Ocean Wise Cioppino served with crusty bread and dungeness crab aioli was a massive home run, as were the warmed olives with spiced nuts and toasted buckwheat.”
