Hand picked and gently whole cluster pressed, we chose to ferment in stainless steel tanks to retain the beautiful floral aromatics. The fruit profile felt most fitting for an off-dry style, so the perfect amount of sweetness was left to harmonize with the bright acidity.
An explosion of zesty, spicy, floral notes jumps out of the glass. Key lime, white peaches and a suggestion of chalky minerality linger on the palate, with a bright, juicy finish.
Grown on our Allendale site in one of coolest spots on the property, on glacial till soils, this Alsatian clone of Riesling thrives . Naturally rich and ripe and tropical, we leant into this fruit profile and tailored our crop levels and canopy manangement to accentuate those rich flavours.
